Steve Looker – Director’s Biography
Award winning film maker Steve Looker has worked within commercials, film and TV for many years. His Short film, ‘Sacrifice’ gained high praise from the industry at large and was funded by regional arts funding and UK Film Council, Steve’s cross-role career in commercials, TV and indie-films steadily progressed, making commercials, short films, working with writers, writing features and directing. Steve has learnt his craft directing many hours of footage on tight schedules. His directorial ‘vision’ marries visual panache to a writer’s understanding of story and structure. Clearly a visual director, Steve’s strong point is his cinematic vision and his ability to gain great performances. Often working alongside seasoned actors, Steve’s work has especially shone with fledgling performers. Steve feels his greatest strength is the ability to work well with actors, to recognise realistic human behaviour and to give all his films a powerful cinematic vision.
"Directing is about finding the right actors, gaining their trust and guiding them to an incredible performance."Steve Looker.
